Sturm und Drang

I've been tasked with finding batteries tomorrow, and I have a plan - hit an electronics store (Fry's when I turn in my application there tomorrow); after all, it's not a grocery or hardware store and is less likely to have a run on them. I have this image of using my UPS to run the microwave in the case of a power outage, though my dad refers to this as an "inappropriate use of technology", as well. This is life on the Gulf Coast... you just have to deal with them as they come in, just like Californians and earthquakes. Only with a bit more rain and a little less earth-shaking. And I have my flashlight that can knock out a pachyderm if chaos reigns in the streets. Beware, for I have a Mag Light and I know how to use it.
